Serving Those Who Serve

Elks pledge "So long as there are veterans, the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks will never forget them." The Elks National Veterans Service Commission takes that pledge one step further, and promises service to our nation's Veterans and military members, with a special focus on service to those in need.

The Goldsboro Elks are proud supporters of our nation's military to include our neighbors and friends at Seymour Johson Air Force Base.

Our Services
The Goldsboro Elks Lodge sponsors the following programs, events, and activities to honor and support our community's Veterans, active military members and their families.

Adopt an Airman

Seymour Home Away From Home is a 501(c)3 non-profit foundation designed to assist Airmen at Seymour Johnson AFB. It pairs Airmen with civilian Host Families to help alleviate the challenges of being alone or far from home, often for the first time. Host Families offer personal interactions that can develop into strong, long-lasting bonds. To find out more or to apply to be a host family, click here

Welcome Home Kits

In partnership with the United Way of Wayne County, the Elks will help subsidize household good costs for Veterans transitioning to stable housing.  Our kit voucher will be used to supplement the United Way's Recovery Voucher. To request help, click here.
